A Colorado couple who met in high school got married in the hospital while the groom was being treated for cancer — see photos from their special ceremony

A Colorado couple had their wedding ceremony in a local hospital where the groom was receiving cancer treatment in April. Zach Stroup, 26, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in November 2020. Zach’s cancer recurrence tested and strengthened the couple’s relationship, they said. Zach proposed to Madison Stroup in March 2021, after beating cancer for the first time. The couple said they planned their wedding with a charity for young adults with cancer that funded their ceremony in 48 hours.
