The Chinese Chang’e 5 mission has returned a new mineral from the lunar surface. The mineral was exceedingly tiny, about one-tenth the size of a human hair. The helium-3 that it contains has the potential to change the world. The U.S. should start testing mining operations on the moon’s surface.
