Climate change activists blocking Boston traffic taken into custody at several locations

Several people were taken into custody, including five people on ramp from Leverett Circle to Interstate 93. Boston police said traffic is being diverted at Seaport Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue, and urged motorists to seek alternate routes. Extinction Rebellion Boston said more than 50 climate activists will shut down traffic throughout Boston through 9 a.m. at several locations across the city. “This is a climate emergency, and we are sorry for the inconvenience, but we are just sleepwalking into disaster,” a spokesperson for the group said.
