Michael Close, 38, shot and killed Isabella Thallas, 21, and her boyfriend, Darian Simon, 28, after arguing over their dog’s pooch. Close had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, but a Denver jury found him guilty of murder. The jury concluded that Close knew what he was doing when he opened fire on Thallas and Simon.
